About National Talent Search Exam (NTSE)

Purpose

The National Council of education Research and Training, New Delhi awards 750 scholarships, including 70 for SC/ST candidates', every year under its National Talent Search Schema. the purpose of this scheme. The purpose of this scheme is to identify brilliant students, who are completing class X, and give them monetary help for getting good education so that their talent may develop further.

Eligibility

A student in class X of any recognized school is eligible to take the State level examination, which is the first stage in selection. Those students who are seeking admission in class XI in a particular year would be eligible to take the state level exam in May the same year and not subsequently.

Scholarship

Eligible NRI students may also compete for the Talent Search Awards. Such students are exempted from first level screening text but have to appear for the National Level Exam in India . Scholarship, if selected, is also awarded for pursuing students in India only.

The scholarship is awarded for pursuing higher studies in basic or social sciences up to doctorate level (Phd) and those pursuing professional courses in medicine and engineering are eligible to receive the scholarship up to second degree.

 The medium of the test shall be as announced State/UT.
