About IIT Mandi

IIT Mandi was established by MHRD, Government of India. IIT Roorkee is the mentor IIT for Indian Institute of Technology, Mandi.

Currently the institute offers four year B.Tech. Programme in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science and is functioning from the IIT Roorkee campus.

Location of the Institute:

In July 2010, classes will shift to a transit campus in Mandi town. It is just 12 Km away from the banks of Uhl, a tributary of River Beas.

The campus in IIT Mandi will offer a world class academic environment with a high quality of life in a sophisticated modern classrooms, labs and libraries, sports and extra curricular facilities, on campus housing and a school.

The institute will ensure smooth coordination and implementation of all activities as per statutes, ordinances, rules, regulations, procedures of IIT Roorkee, which have been so adopted for the purpose.
