About IIT Madras

IIT Madras was established in the year 1959 , and it was the third in the line of Indian Institutes of technology setup for higher technical eduction in the country.

IIT Madras Campus

Institute's self-contained campus of nearly 360 faculties, 4000 students, 1250 administrative and supporting staff, is located in a beautiful, wooded land of about 250 hectares in south Madras.
