About IIT Delhi

IIT Delhi is one of the seven Institutes of Technology created as centers of excellence for higher training, reasearch and development in science, engineering and technology in India. Established as college of Engineering in 1961, the Institute was later declared an institution of National Importance under the " Institutes of Technology (Amendment) Act, 1963" and was renamed "Indian Institute of Technology Delhi "

Location of the Institute:

IIT Delhi is situated at Hauz Khas in New Delhi and well connected to the major city centres by open and wide roads. The Institute campus is about 19 km away from the Delhi Main Railway Station, 14 km from the New Delhi Railway station and 10 km from Delhi Airport.

IIT Delhi Campus:

The campus of the Institute extends to an area of 320 acres with many topographical features imaginatively laid out with picturesque landscape, numerous buildings of various nature and stature, and clean and wide roads.
