Phobia
It has been observed, that even good students who have donevery
well in conventional exams, do not opt IIT-JEE as a career option, because they
suffer from a phobia that it is very tough and difficult.
Factors Responsible:
1. Many a times some parents take a
conservative view and discourage their wards by inculcating inferiority
complex and comparing their performance with others tudents.
2. The media also creates hype about the
complexities in IIT-JEE, which disturbs and discourages the young mind.
3. Many a times some teachers also, unknowingly
discourage the students by discussing a typical problem in abstract.
4. General public may also discourage
and disappoint genuine students because of misconceived notions.
5. On their own also, even good students
get disheartened by wrongly trying tricky questions.
How to overcome this phobia:
1. Dear students, try to understand that
phobia is false fear, so it is completely a misplaced misunderstanding.
2. Keep this in mind that the syllabus of
Board Examination and IIT-JEE are not different. No doubt IIT-JEE is a
different examination from the conventional board examination but it is not
antithetical to the board preparation. Some supplementary input needs to be
given for tackling the objective and subjective questions of IITs.
3. Be sure that once the basic
concepts become clear, the path becomes easy.
4. So with proper guidance, motivation,
continuous and regular effort most of the students can utilise their inherent
capacity to become a ranker in the IIT-JEE.
We have proved this continuously, by producing rankers and highly
successful results in IIT-JEE over the years.
